Helsinki Conference 2002

The Conference aims at discussing how globalisation processes could be guided to increase the participation and capacity of states and other relevant actors in economic, social and political decision-making. The objective is to provide a forum for rational and genuine dialogue between different stakeholders and perspectives. The working environment is innovative and methods aimed at creating space and identifying possibilities for constructive dialogue that could lead to concrete actions.
The Helsinki Process on Globalisation and Democracy was jointly initiated by Finland and Tanzania as a result of the Helsinki Conference of December 2002.
