WTO Ministerial Conference, 1st

This was the first Ministerial Conference after the WTO creation in 1995. Its main issues were the famous "Singapore issues", refering to four working groups: investment protection, competition policy, transparency in government procurement and trade facilitation.
These issues were the main controversial issues in future Ministerial Conferences, between developed and developing countries.
It also examined issues related to the work of the WTO's first two years of activity and the implementation of the Uruguay Round Agreements.
