Improving Accountability and Governance in Global Financial Institutions

The objectives of first meeting of the working group on improving accountability and governance
in global financial institutions included identifying: urgent areas for reform in the governance of the
global financial system (specifically to rank these in terms of tactical feasibility and in terms of overall
importance for developing countries); specific questions which need further academic research
which the group might commission; issues, which might be, delegated to smaller policy-oriented
task forces or other forms of action or follow-up.
