Global Governance Initiative : An initiative to improve the state of the world

The World Economic Forum has launched the Global Governance Initiative to monitor progress in the global effort to implement the ambitious social, economic and environmental goals set forth in the United Nations Millennium Declaration and other documents.
The Initiative will include seven international groups of experts, each dedicated to evaluating the level of effort and cooperation among key actors in one of the below areas. The Steering Committee of the Global Governance Initiative convened for the first time during the Annual Meeting 2003 and will publish its first annual report at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in January 2004.
