Globalisation, democracy and trade policy

Globalisation is a fact of life and it becomes a challenge for all societies. This paper focuses on three main questions: it discusses the challenge of globalisation for democracy, it analyses the challenges of globalisation and the demand for a "democratic trade policy" for international organisations like the WTO and finally discusses scenarios and policy options for governments to respond to the challenge of globalisation.
