ECOSOC meets with Bretton Woods Institutions, World Trade Organization; aims at 'Policy Coherence' in Implementing Monterrey Commitments

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) meets in a special-level meeting with the Bretton Woods institutions and the World Trade Organization (WTO) to consider implementation of the Monterrey Consensus of the International Conference on Financing for Development. The meeting brought the ECOSOC and the Bretton Woods together in the first major public occasion to review the implementation of agreements reached at the Conference. This paper is about discussion among governments and institutions on how they can work together.
